STORY OUTLINE
Bailey Doyle, born in Port Douglas, enlisted in Townsville in February 1916. He embarked Sydney 13 May 1916 per A72 'Beltana', then was taken on strength to 31st Battalion from 14th Light Horse and then transferred to 32nd Battalion.
He proceeded to France on 11 November 1916. On 7 December 1917 he was hospitalised in England with shell shock. On 1st February 1918, he embarked for Australia and was discharged due to shell shock on 2nd May 1918.
